Child Creations will strive to give the children a daily routine that will meet our students' academic and spiritual needs in order to provide a safe learning environment. Our goal is to encompass areas of growth in development such as gross motor (climbing, running, swinging, outdoor play, etc.), fine motor (scissors, lacing, painting, manipulates, etc.), cognitive learning (colors, alphabet, numbers, shapes, patterns, etc.), language (naming parts, animals, prepositions, etc.), personal/social learning (getting along with others, knowing addresses, birthdays, age, etc.), and self-help skills (putting on coats, zipping, snapping, feeding, etc.). Our curriculum that is implemented in each classroom was designed by a retired Knox County kindergarten teacher. Our spiral curriculum builds upon each classroom so that our students are continually using what they have already learned to build more knowledge. Child Creations also intertwines developmental growth with spiritual growth. The ABEKA Bible curriculum is used to promote Bible stories, songs, and activities and videos.
Each classroom has a schedule to meet the developmental needs of the children. Some of the daily activities that your child will be involved in include: literacy, math, art, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, free play, music, computers, Bible stories, and pretend play.
The curriculum used at child creations considers all developmental benchmarks at each age and incorporates Biblical stories. Child Creations works diligently to challenge each student to reach their full potential. Our curriculum is implemented by teachers who are trained to guide and foster learning in each classroom. The curriculum in each classroom is progressive in preparing each student for the next step in their lives.
