Fire, tornado, earthquake, etc. drills are practiced on a regular basis. An emergency evacuation plan has been designed for Child Creations. The plan contains information and identifies where to locate your student as well as precautions that will be implemented in the event of evacuation of the center. The director maintains a current copy and is available upon request.
Minor Injury: All staff at Child Creations maintains current first aid and CPR training. In the case of a minor injury, the staff will administer basic first aid and will notify the parent/guardian at the time of pick up. If the injury is of the head area, the parent will be notified immediately. An accident report will be completed by the staff member who administered the first aid and will be signed by the parent or guardian. The accident report must be kept on file at the center. Injuries Requiring Medical Attention: For injuries that require medical attention, the staff will call the parent/guardian as soon as possible. If a parent/ guardian cannot be reached, the staff will call the emergency contact person listed on the student’s Emergency release Form. Staff will also continue to contact the parent/guardian.
Emergency Medical Attention: If none of the above parties are reachable and the staff feels that medical attention is imperative, the child’s pediatrician will be contacted and Child Creations director or teacher will accompany the child to a local hospital. An ambulance will be called to transport the child.
Students will only be released to the persons who are listed on the emergency card. Parents will sign out the student at the front desk. Parents may check his/her folder located at the front desk for billing statements, student’s daily report, newsletters, and artwork. After a security check, parents may proceed to the designated class to pick up their student.
Child Creations is equipped with a satellite alarm system for police and fire as well as chimes on all doors and windows. Child Creations has cameras in all rooms, both inside and outside, with a monitor system located in the office. The building is secured with fob entry for parents and teachers. Admittance is granted to parents of enrolled children or authorized alternate release person and licensing officials or others at the discretion of Child Creations directors.
